Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

The goal of the Basic Science Investigators Workshop is to bring together clinicians and scientists actively involved in basic or translational research relevant to surgery of the hand, for the purpose of exchanging ideas and addressing challenges, including (but not limited to): grant writing, funding, resources, finding time for research, engaging clinician-scientist collaborations, mentorship, and development of clinician scientists. The input of experienced investigators is intended to help solve problems of work in progress, lead to the development of new and interesting research questions and foster collaboration among the attendees for future research endeavors. Clinical or outcome study researchers are encouraged to participate in the Clinical Investigators Workshop which is held at the same time.
The format will consist of two segments: a series of 5-10 minute presentations on current research, made by the attendees; and a moderated discussion session on challenges facing the hand surgery researcher.
The meeting is open to anyone with interest in discussing current research or challenges in performing basic or translational research in hand surgery. If you are interested in attending please submit your name and contact information, along with an outline for the research topic or challenge that you would like to discuss to AM10@assh.org.
