403 - CTC04: Computer Training Course Scientific Public Speaking with PowerPoint: How to go to the next level LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

A didactic (not a hands-on lab) course on how to be a better public speaker at a scientific conference, using PP as your AV aid and not as a substitute for your "talk". We start by showing how to keep your audience focused, using some of the power built into PowerPoint: inserting a photo or x-ray, using the moving arrow or crayon to highlight a point. Common mistakes by speakers using PP are then analyzed. The course presumes that you already have created a basic talk with PP and are looking to learn how to be an expert public speaker.
Note:
- You should know the basics of PowerPoint: how to open a blank presentation, insert text, control font and background color.
- We will not cover video; CT 3 is on video.
